Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) is hiring a permanent, full-time Facility Energy Technician 2 to perform journey level work to operate, calibrate, and repair steam boilers or other multifaceted energy systems that generate heat, ventilation, air condition, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) in OYA buildings and facilities. You will also maintain, operate and repair wastewater distribution and water treatment systems and perform or assist with other non-boiler related work such as performing a variety of semi-skilled work in the alteration, maintenance, and repair.

Incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout our recruitment process is of the utmost importance as we’re an agency filled with staff and youth from various backgrounds, cultures, and families. You are receiving this email because we believe the impact and outreach you have within your community can help us to find the best candidate for this crucial position.

Please share the link below to your community pages, send via email, or even post on the wall at the local gathering centers. We are determined to find the best fit for the Oregon Youth Authority and we appreciate your support in doing so.

    OYA diversity statement

At OYA, diversity, equity, and inclusion are more than just words on a page. To meet our mission and live our values as an agency, DEI must be at the heart of all we do. We support cultural competence, develop teams and cultivate leaders in ways that are equitable to everyone, especially people of color, those who identify as LGBTQ+, or those from other marginalized communities. We are explicit and intentional as we identify resources that all our youth and staff need to grow and prosper. Our DEI work connects closely with our culture of positive human development, with safe and supportive environments where everyone is held accountable and connected to their community. The end goal is to protect the public and reduce crime by holding youth accountable and providing opportunities for reformation in safe environments.
