Job Description / Primary Objective |
Due to the continued growth of our company and the rapidly growing need for architecture and design services in Southern California, our company needs the professional services of a Designer. Our company has several ongoing public and private development projects that require design services for new buildings as well as renovations of projects throughout Southern California and the United States. The Designer will work with our professional architects and design teams throughout all phases of project design, including client meetings, pre-design research, schematic design, and preparation of construction documents. The Designer will also use computer-based design programs to create visual representations of project designs.
The hired individual will be responsible for the following duties:
• Apply architecture design theories and principles to prepare drawings, drafts, and plans for our company’s commercial, public, multi-family residential, and mixed-use projects using AutoCAD software;
• Study clients' business environment, industry standards, and special requirements such as purpose of the space, technological needs, and intended layouts;
• Develop structure specifications for projects such as materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction timelines required to meet clients’ expectations;
• Assist in planning the interior space layout by incorporating architectural and structural design aesthetics;
• Coordinate with in-house architects, engineers, project managers, and staff members to effectively design, and execute design documentation for building plans;
• Perform feasibility and environmental impact studies to identify any special requirements for specific job sites;
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure that documentation complies with design intent and drafts;
• Communicate with engineering consultants, project managers, and staff members to effectively and objectively review status of ongoing projects;

Requirements (Education, Level of Experience, etc.)
|
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, architecture design, or a related field;
• 6 months’ work experience in architectural design and interior design;
• Proficiency in Adobe Design (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and AutoCAD.
