| Job Description / Primary Objective * |
Cal Poly Pomona’s Department of Architecture (CPP ARC) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2019. The new faculty is expected to teach architecture studios, lectures, and seminars at the graduate and undergraduate level, engage in scholarly activities in the area of Design Research, and take a leadership position within the graduate program. Applicants with work that incorporates a global perspective, a commitment to diversity in higher education, and especially a demonstrated ability to teach students from underrepresented minority groups are particularly encouraged to apply. |
| Requirements (Education, Level of Experience, etc.) |
Qualified candidates must have a terminal degree (M.ARCH. or Ph.D.) in Architecture or Architecture History or Theory from a NAAB accredited (or recognized equivalent) university, a minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience in design or related fields at the university level, one (1) year of experience in academic leadership and/or management at an institution, a record of distinction in teaching and design research, and a demonstrated ability to contribute to the excellence of our diverse academic community through teaching, research, and service as well as a commitment to work and experience working in an inclusive environment.
